30 pages, about 8" by 5", soft-cover in glossy full color. New re-print on heavy super-white paper, restored and digitally enhanced. Fully Illustrated.
'The Army and Navy Journal commenting on the mounting (of) so many guns on an attack airplane states: "It has thirty Thompson Guns aboard and one man can operate them and control their fire with perfect ease. Each Thompson fires at the rate of 1,500 shots a minute or a fire rate of 45,000 shots a minute for the plane. These figures have never heretofore even been approached. In six seconds, traveling at 140 miles per hour, this plane firing 3,000 shots covers an area of 440 yards by 12 yeards or 5280 yards" Note: Two extra guns are mounted in the cockpit.'
